Black Chrome

Black chrome provides good wear resistance, durability, and is a corrosion resistant plating which possesses thermal stability for high temperature applications. The deposit will be less than 0.0002". Therefore, there will be minimal change in dimension.

Black chrome can be plated on steel, nickel, chrome, and other metals that are to be painted, welded, stamped, or formed making it a valuable and versatile process.

Black chrome is also used for functional as well as decorative applications. The appearance of the Black Chrome finish depends on the nature of the substrate and the surface treatment prior to electroplating. The finish can be lustrous, semilustrous, or matte.
